Al-Falah Schools Launches the “Values, Positive Habits and Teaching Approaches” Project

The General Administration of Al-Falah Schools has launched the “Values, Positive Habits and Teaching Approaches” Project, as part of its commitment to translating the schools’ vision and mission into effective educational practices and strengthening the role of the school in developing well-rounded students who combine academic excellence with strong values, ethics, and positive behavior.

The project aims to develop the role of the teacher as a parent and educator within the school community, while fostering a teacher who serves as a positive role model for students. It also seeks to create a safe, ethical, and creative school environment, while expanding the implementation of specialized values- and thinking-based curricula across different educational stages.

The project focuses on improving educational outcomes by emphasizing the development of students’ ethical and creative character, while strengthening Islamic values, good morals, and positive behaviors in their daily lives.

Project Objectives

The General Director of Al-Falah Schools emphasized the importance of achieving a number of key objectives, including:

1. Empowering teachers to instill values, ethics, and positive habits in students and transform them into sustainable daily practices.

2. Preparing a selected group of teachers to effectively deliver the “Tafakkar Ma’a Anous” and “Makarim” curricula.

3. Developing qualified educational and supervisory teams capable of monitoring and continuously improving the implementation of the project across all school branches.

Project Implementation Phases

The General Director explained that the project will be implemented through three main phases, designed to establish an integrated approach to instilling values and promoting positive behavior across all school branches.

Phase One: Awareness and Capacity Building

The first phase includes a number of activities and initiatives, most notably:

• Organizing discussion sessions for all teachers, administrative staff, and school personnel across the different branches.

• Conducting a workshop entitled “How to Instill Positive Habits and Overcome Negative Habits.”

• Exploring the use of technology to promote positive habits and values.

• Examining digital technologies and media content that may negatively influence values, including the impact of television series, songs, and digital media on students’ behavior, and preparing a specialized technical resource on the subject.

Phase Two: Training and Professional Development

The second phase includes a series of training programs and professional development courses targeting teachers, school staff, and parents. These initiatives aim to unify educational efforts and strengthen the partnership between school and family in promoting values and positive behavior.

Phase Three: Values Development and Behavioral Improvement

The third phase focuses on strengthening values and promoting positive behavioral change through the implementation of specialized curricula and supporting training programs, including:

• “Makarim Ambassador” training courses for middle school teachers.

• Specialized enrichment courses.

• Quranic Educator training provided by the Educational Supervision Department.

• Positive Change training.

• Sincerity in Work training.

Expanding the Implementation of the Curricula

At the primary level, the school will gradually expand the implementation of the “Tafakkar Ma’a Anous” curriculum, which is currently taught to students in Grades 1 and 2, according to the following plan:

• Grades 3 and 4 during the 2022/2023 academic year.

• Grades 5 and 6 during the 2023/2024 academic year.

At the middle school level, the “Makarim” curriculum will be introduced according to the following plan:

• Grade 7 during the 2022/2023 academic year.

• Grades 8 and 9 during the 2023/2024 academic year.

The project also includes the preparation and professional development of selected teachers who will be responsible for delivering the “Tafakkar Ma’a Anous” and “Makarim” curricula, in addition to preparing specialized supervisors to support teachers and monitor the effective implementation of both curricula.

This project forms part of Al-Falah Schools’ strategic plans to strengthen its vision and mission of building a generation with well-rounded personalities and distinctive abilities, capable of keeping pace with civilizational progress and responding positively to the changing demands of life.

Through a balanced educational approach, the project seeks to develop students’ academic, behavioral, and practical skills within the framework of Islamic principles and the values of citizenship.

Through this initiative, Al-Falah Schools reaffirms its commitment to creating an educational environment that goes beyond delivering knowledge to shaping character, developing positive behavior, and building responsible individuals, thereby creating a lasting educational impact both within the school and beyond.
